It was a good day to end the work week. I went in to work too early so I can also leave in the afternoon very early. Spent the afternoon walking for a couple of kilometers then used my remaining time to fix things in the garden until the sun sets in.
This is tuyo, a dried fish which when fried is a popular dish in the Philippines. Tuyo literally means dried in English. I think the fish is actually herring. Fried tuyo is best paired with fried rice and fresh tomatoes for breakfast. Another perfect pair for tuyo is champorado, a Filipino chocolate porridge.
