Confidence is great and it will help you face any situation. At the same time, it is also true that overconfidence can be dangerous. Doing high kicks will not solve every issue that you face in real life. So understanding what you can do is very important when it comes to self defense.
You learn some self defense, so you should not run, stand here and keep fighting. Well, I will not say that. If there are two or three guys, and you think you can handle the situation, go ahead. If there are 10, 15 or 20 guys, and you understand that this is not going to get better, you can find a way to escape.
When you are in a fight on the street, there is no referee who can come and stop your opponent. There is no specific time like how long the fight will be continued. And even if the fight is over, this is not going to end like a fighting competition. There is an effect after the fight.
So you have to consider a lot of things. If you can talk and avoid the fight, that's better. If you can run and get out of there, you can run. If you can call the police, just do so and let them handle the situation.
Sometimes you cannot get out of there if you run. When there is no alternative to avoid the fight, you have to fight for self defense. It does not sound cool. But my friend, life is not like what we see in movies. You have to think based on reality.
When you fight for self defense, that is not going to be fair. Unfortunately, sometimes the situation will not be in your favor although you do not do anything wrong. There will be power and influence that usually change the situation and move it in a different direction.
Whether you accept it or not, things happen. You can do that is under your control. So understand what you can do for self defense and make your move accordingly.
