Cosmopepla Lintneriana - The Twice-stabbed Stink Bug

in hive-144064 •  2 months ago  (edited)

Today I will share photos of insects and some information about insects that I found when I was walking looking for other insect photos to share in this community, and as usual I searched for more information by accessing google lens, and I found the name Cosmopepla lintneriana, or commonly called the twice-stabbed stink bug. Then I started looking for it further on google searches about the name.

This type of insect is small, but when we look at it after shooting using a macro lens, it looks like a turtle when I look at it from behind. And actually this insect is included in the family Pentatomidae and far from the species of turtle species. On wikipedia it is also explained that this insect belongs to the Carpocorini tribe and the Cosmopepla clan.

Okay steemian friends, here are some photos from Cosmopepla lintneriana, or commonly called the twice-stabbed stink bug. I took this photo using a smartphone camera, and the help of a macro lens, I hope you like it.
