Lulu and I were up at dawn and on the road early for a few hours of prospecting down by Wickenburg before the weather turned extra crispy ('only' 100 degrees out there today).
Thankfully there were wispy cirrus clouds to help moderate the heat and a refreshing breeze so the heat didn't seem so bad.
Still it wad a lot of dusty and dirty work shovelling through the baked soil and gravel for a few hours. Thankfully the low humidity does help until the thermometer hits the triple digits in earnest.
Since I didn't over-exert myself I felt up to a bit of an evening hike on the easy Centennial Trail just around the hill from us. The breeze had cooled the temperature down to 80 or so and the air wasn't to dusty either. My legs felt decent and although this trail is rocky in spots it isn't too difficult a trek and not too long either. Plenty of songbirds out to keep me company (but too active to photograph unfortunately 🐦🐦🐦).
Easy day tomorrow working around our RV and panning through several buckets of gravel from the washes today - hopefully more gold to be had.
Take care all.
