One of the strengths of this reggae singer is his voice. I kind of hoarse voice. In addition, the vocal ability has also been tested. Already several songs belonging to Tony Q Rastafara that I present on the platform since some time ago. Today I want to present a song called Om Funky.

The story in this song is a picture of the reality of a person who lives in a big city. But in life in a country where the society has not prospered, is not well established and is still tinged with many criminal cases.

This man who was labeled with Om Funky was a hard worker, but sociable and always smiled. Although his life is bitter and far from established.

I like this song because it resembles reggae songs from Jamaica. Songs that always have a message from a community life. There is always social criticism in each verse.

Tony seemed to understand well that what he was singing must be something that had a story behind it. Not just singing. but he describes something about a life, about a condition of concern.

That's why I like this song not only because it's fun to hear, but also because there is a deep message there.

Hope you like it too.

Lyrics

Befriend a glass of hot coffee
Read today's newspaper
From political, criminal, sports, celebrity news
Until the news of the price of daily basic needs
Who increasingly compete with self-esteem
Aww. aww.aww
Out of control
Hi Uncle Funky
Cool looking wife of one child and two
Work hard and good at hanging out
Liked by friends, they don't have opponents
Often makes people laugh
Forget about problems
In a land that says ... Uh yeah.
Gemah ripah loh jenawi (javanesse lang)
That has changed meaning
Oh baby, honey ...
Debt first to pay later
Debt used to be the grandchildren who paid off

Lirik

Berteman segelas kopi panas
Baca koran hari ini
Dari berita politik, kriminal, olahraga, selebriti
Sampai berita harga kebutuhan pokok sehari-hari
Yang kian bersaing dengan harga diri
Aww. aww.aww
Nggak terkendali
Hai Om Funky
Tampang keren istri satu anak dua
Bekerja keras dan jago gaul
Disenangi teman kagak punya lawan
Sering bikin orang tertawa
Lupa akan masalah
Di negeri yang katanya... Uh yeah.
Gemah ripah, loh jenawi
Yang telah berubah arti
Oh sayang, sayang...
Utang dulu bayar nanti
Utang dulu cucu yang melunasi

I have heard this guy a couple times. His voice is solid. The rhythm is on point too. Real roots reggae vibes. If many Indonesian reggae acts focused on English songs they would be world famous.
