This nice fella called @gerber has just done something no one has being able to make me do for years....
That is to play a game!
The game in question is called Steem City and its Card based Sim game where you build a city by buying random cards or specific cards on the game market.
It is a city simulator game based on Steem-Engine Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs). The individual NFTs represent assets in the game and the total collection of your assets is your city.
I love it because firstly, it's simple to play but very addictive. Trying to combine your assets in the form of commercial and residential properties, juggling the workers you'll need whilst keeping crime levels down and the popularity rating up is costing me some Steem to do but its all good fun and the top 100 weekly players by population get a share of the card sales AND there are daily token drops based on your popularity! The tokens are called SIM and are available on Steem Engine.
The other good thing is that you can trade cards using all manner of Steem Engine tokens and Beer Tokens can be used to temporarily 'buy' popularity as part of a current special promotion.
The places and features this game could add are endless which is a great way to keep it fresh and keep players coming back and in the three days I've been playing, there seem to be small upgrades and new features every time I log on!
Back in the '80s and '90s, I used to love writing simple simulation games in BASIC and later played a lot of the SIM and Tycoon type games and one of the things that really appeals to me about this game are the simple retro graphics. It takes me to a time 'back in the day'!
This was just a short shill to give you some sort of idea and to get the game out there because there has obviously been some other stuff that seems to have taken over the feeds recently and I thought perhaps people might not have noticed another brilliant Steem DApp being released by another dedicated Steem dev.
This is the post with full details of the game and its release so please have a read and give it a go if you like these sort of games.
